Che guevara: Should we really love him?

Considering he's been dead since 1969 loving him would be kind of pointless. All he actually was a former medical student turned Marxist guerrilla leader who helped Castro seize and consolidate power in Cuba then got caught and executed when tried, unsuccessfully, to the same thing in first Congo-Kinshasa and later Bolivia. In Bolivia he was caught and executed by Bolivian forces working with the CIA. He remains a hero and a martyr to the Left-Wing extremists and and a Demonic and reviled figure to the Right Wing extremists. The reality has gotten lost in the legends and propaganda but the truth, as in most such cases, is probably somewhere in between.
