Can you give me a nice long list of farm-boy-turned-hero novels?

Only one I thought of that wasn't mentioned was The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr etc. There's many on yuour list that are better, but this one fits your specifications.
