Lab techniques VNTR/STR vs. RFLP?

when tested with a group of vntr markers, the likelihood of two unrelated individuals with the same allelic patterns are very very improbable.... i think str takes more steps, while all you need for vntr is small strands of DNA then use pcr or southern blotting, as for rflp determining the sizes of the fragmented alleles is tricky for me so i would go with vntr
