How do you update the timezone on a sharp atomic clock spc900?

the timezone icon says pst, and i can't change the timezone at all. also, the signal feed icon by the time finally turned on, but i tried to fix the timezone, and the icon went away. the clock just changed by two hours backwards in the middle of the day today. i don't see the led light on the remote sensor at all. that doesn't seem right, as the outside temp. reading has gone completely away, as well. i have barely looked at the instructions, but the info. seemed sparse. i surfed the net, and i didn't find too much info.
