Can I sue my school for punishing my attempt to protest against a gym activity?

My gym cl started out as it does every other day but we had been starting a new unit. We were supposed to have a choice between tennis and softball. My gym teachers decided upon counting the number of persons in my cl that it was too large and we were going to have too play softball. Normally this would not bother me if it were not for the fact that soft ball like kickball is grounds for bullying those of weaker physical extremities. I tried to explain to my gym teacher that we could simply do doubles in tennis and switch out players so that everyone were to be able to play and no mockery would occur. but she would have none of it. I said that I wished not to participate and that I was now protesting against her unjust choice of activity being that it would cause problems that I knew she would not take care of. I gained a few colleagues in sitting out with me, we were told that since we refused to participate whether we were protesting or not that she was going to give us zeros for the cles we were missing due to our protest. My question is simply, does not the constitution guard my right to protest peacefully? Isn't it a injustice to be punished so cruelly for protesting a corrupt system? Might I be able to stop this mistreatment legally? If so, how?
